The final year is the most experiential and professionalizing, also thanks to the internship at local, national, and/or international companies, organizations, and associations during the last academic semester. The final thesis, which concludes the educational path, takes place during the last two semesters of the Bachelor's program.

18 weeks of professional internship

The internship is a practical professional experience undertaken in the final semester, allowing students to engage with local, national, or international realities and apply what they have learned throughout the entire study program. The internship provides the opportunity to explore various work environments within the Leisure sector, interact with different stakeholders, and apply learned concepts, methodologies, and tools in a real-world context. It involves planning, executing, and evaluating concrete projects and gradually taking on professional responsibilities.

The internship module is worth 24 ECTS and is an integral part of the Bachelor in Leisure Management.

Upon completion of the professional internship, students receive a certificate of internship and an evaluation from the hosting organization. Additionally, they are required to draft a report, assessed by the module supervisor, describing their experience. The report includes an analysis of strengths and weaknesses, acquired skills, as well as reflections on the lived experience.

The Field Project is an educational and practical project carried out in groups, in collaboration with local companies/organizations, with the scientific-methodological guidance of a lecturer from the degree course.

The partner company/organization assigns the student group a real challenge, providing all necessary information and ensuring the support needed for successful project completion. The project undertaken is evaluated by both the lecturer and the company through a written report and an oral presentation. This format allows students to connect with local realities and acquire skills for project management in the leisure sector.

A Design Thinking model

The Sprint Project module unfolds over a span of five days, allowing final-year Bachelor students to challenge themselves with real-world problems in collaboration with local companies, associations, and/or organizations. Starting with a genuine challenge and the definition of objectives, student groups, consisting of 7/8 individuals, work intensively throughout the week to arrive at concrete solutions and develop an initial prototype. This module is highly practical, organized in an intensive format, and encompasses creativity, a scientific approach, and methodology.

The week commences with the definition of project objectives and the exploration of potential solutions. Subsequently, the best solution is voted on, transformed into a storyboard, and developed into an actual prototype. The project concludes with prototype testing and a presentation to the involved partner.

The module encourages limited use of digital devices to maximize group creativity without external influences.

The Bachelor's program offers two study modes that allow students to acquire 180 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits. One ECTS credit is equivalent to approximately 30 hours of study, including lectures, individual and group projects, guided and independent study.

A 3-year full-time program

鈥嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌婥lassroom lectures are complemented by professional internships, distance learning, group work, and the development of personal projects. Throughout the program, students have the opportunity to engage with the professional world through expert testimonials, the second-year Field Project, the third-year internship, and other real-world projects incorporated into the modules. Typically, lectures are scheduled from Monday to Thursday, with some modules extending throughout the week (crash courses). On the other days of the week, individual or group lab activities, independent study, outings, and study visits are possible.

A 4 to 6-year program

For those who wish to maintain their family, artistic, sports, or professional commitments (not necessarily in fields related to the Bachelor) while simultaneously pursuing their education. This commitment should correspond to at least 50%.  

The study plan aims to complete the 1st year of the full-time (TP) program within two academic years, and in the subsequent years, according to an individualized and agreed-upon plan, complete the 2nd and 3rd years of the TP program.

In this study mode as well, an internship is scheduled during the last semester.

Given the limited number of places available, admission to the Bachelor's program involves an examination consisting of a written component and an attitudinal assessment (individual oral interview).
For the Leisure Management degree program, each year, up to 20% of candidates who are not residents in Switzerland may be admitted based on their placement in the examination.
The admission application must be submitted exclusively through the online procedure available on the鈥嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌� .

  1. 鈥嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌婳nce the admission application has been assessed, the acceptance will be communicated via email, indicating either admission to the examination, scheduling a preliminary oral examination (for candidates by portfolio), or notification of a non-compliant admission application.
  2. After the enrollment deadline, candidates admitted to the examination will receive an official E-Mail communicating the details regarding the written test and individual oral interview.
  3. Based on the scores obtained in the written test and individual oral interview, the final ranking of candidates admitted to the Bachelor's program will be determined.
  4. Candidates who are admitted will receive communication with the necessary instructions to confirm their enrollment definitively.

To access the degree program, a ranking exam is required, consisting of a written exam (in Italian and in English) and an individual oral interview.

Written Exam (in Italian and in English)
  • The first part of the written ranking exam is conducted in Italian. The test includes questions on the comprehension of graphs, tables, and/or texts, as well as questions on general knowledge, current events, and management. The test does not require specific preparation. This first test accounts for 40% of the final ranking, also allowing for the evaluation of Italian language proficiency for non-native Italian speakers.
  • The second part of the written ranking exam is conducted in English. The test includes comprehension, writing, and listening tasks and accounts for 20% of the final ranking. Candidates who can demonstrate, through international certificates or certifications obtained at other universities, a level of English equal to or higher than B2, and those who possess C2 level in all four language skills (listening, reading, writing, and speaking), may request an exemption by writing to deass.leisure@supsi.ch.
    Those candidates will be invited for an individual interview, which will take place on Saturday, May 3 (further details to be communicated later) if there are more than four candidates. If the number of candidates is fewer than four, they will be contacted individually to schedule an appointment during the first week of May. The exemption is not automatic and may only be granted after a careful assessment of the submitted certificates (for those who possess them) or the interview.
    Certificates must not have been issued more than three years prior and must be sent to deass.leisure@supsi.ch by the application deadline of April 30, 2025. If the exemption is confirmed, the maximum score obtained by other candidates in the respective test will be assigned.
Individual Oral Interview
  • The second part of the ranking exam aims to verify personal aptitudes and motivations. The test, lasting approximately 20 minutes and accounting for 40% of the final ranking, consists of an individual oral interview conducted mainly in Italian with a part in English. Only candidates who have completed the first part of the ranking exam may participate in this test.
鈥嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌婽he written exam for the 2025/26 academic year will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, while the individual oral interviews will take place from May 12 to May 23, 2025. Further details will be communicated after submitting your application.

Admission by Portfolio

Individuals aged 25 and above may gain admission to the Bachelor's degree course even without the requisite qualifications, provided they are deemed by the school administration to possess substantial training and experience relevant to the field. They are obligated to undergo a preliminary oral examination on management fundamentals, and a favorable result will grant them access to the examination.

Semester Fee
The semester fee is CHF 800.鈥� for Swiss students or those with civil and tax domicile in Switzerland or Liechtenstein. For other students, the fee amounts to CHF 1,600.鈥�. Specific agreements apply to residents of Campione d鈥橧talia.
Administrative costs
鈥嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌婣dditionally, a lump-sum fee is required as a contribution to teaching costs, amounting to CHF 200.鈥� per semester
Application fee

Open days/evenings are held between January and March each year, during which, for example, the content of the course, professional outlets and the admission procedure are presented. It is also possible to visit the campus and meet directly with students and lecturers.

They are a contribution to the costs of teaching (school materials, charges for visits, general administrative and secretarial costs, teaching and IT support, etc.).

Following the Bologna Reform, study courses have been structured into modules and each module is allocated a number of study credits according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). One ECTS credit is equivalent to a workload of 25 to 30 hours. 60 credits represent the annual workload in the case of full-time education. A Bachelor's degree requires 180 ECTS and a Master's degree 90 to 120 ECTS.

The indications regarding the possible mandatory attendance to specific activities, courses, or modules are specified in the respective module description and communicated by the responsible lecturer at the beginning of the course.
In the case of mandatory attendance, Part-time (PT) students are generally not required to attend classes. However, some experiential modules may require mandatory attendance for PT students as well.

Exams for the Bachelor in Leisure Management are scheduled at various times, as follows:

  • Regular session, held at the end of the semester (autumn session for modules from September to December; spring session for modules from February to May);

  • Make-up session, covering all modules offered during the academic year (generally in August);

  • Extraordinary session, activated by the heads of the Bachelor program only in specific circumstances.

Some certification tests may be conducted during the semester if included in the module.

Languages are essential for the future, particularly in a sector like Leisure. The entry level required for the English course (starting in the first year) is B1 (according to the CEFR), while the entry level required for the German course (starting in the second year, but with the possibility of advancing it to the first year if the level is certified in the internal assessment) is A2 (according to the CEFR). International certificates will not be required, but it will be the responsibility of the individual to address any gaps to achieve an adequate language level necessary to follow the courses. Before the start of the courses, assessments will be available to evaluate one's level.

Thanks to a bridge agreement, SSSAT graduates who pass the ranking exam are recognized with up to 90 ECTS credits as equivalencies. To obtain the Bachelor of Science 精东影业 in Leisure Management, SSSAT graduates must certify at least 90 ECTS credits at 精东影业.
The minimum duration of the program is 2 years, divided into 4 semesters for full-time students.
The list of equivalent modules and the related curriculum is specified in the agreement defining the bridge for SSSAT graduates.

The Bachelor in Leisure Management offers preparatory courses in mathematics and financial accounting for all prospective students. These courses are designed for those who wish to review the content covered in the curriculum of the commercial high school diploma.

The cost of attending an in-person course is CHF 100, while students who enroll in both preparatory courses pay a reduced fee of CHF 150.

Moreover, the Bachelor's program offers courses in blended learning mode (free of charge), which include autonomous content delivery (self-paced distance learning) combined with some in-person sessions, as determined by the preparatory course coordinators.

ECTS credits earned in other study programs or at other universities are recognized to the extent that they certify the achievement of the educational objectives of the chosen program. Specific provisions may be issued by the Departments. Modules for which ECTS credits are recognized are recorded as 鈥渆quivalence鈥� without any grade being assigned.

Additionally, skills developed and certified by other institutions or acquired in other educational or professional contexts can be recognized, provided they demonstrate the achievement of the educational objectives outlined in the study plan and according to the procedures defined in specific provisions.

Students can submit a written request for recognition, attaching the necessary documents for evaluation, in accordance with the provisions set forth in the specific departmental application directives.
