The event represented an important opportunity for international dialogue and the exchange of best practices, involving representatives from numerous European institutions active in nursing education, with the aim of promoting intercultural awareness.

The European Nursing Module (ENM) network was founded in 1994, with the inaugural meeting held in Lewes, Sussex, in the United Kingdom. Its original purpose was to connect educational institutions offering basic nursing programs that grant the right to practice the profession in their respective countries. Over time, the network has evolved, incorporating hospitals and universities, and promoting student mobility, educational innovation, and the development of intercultural competencies.

The participation of the DEASS colleagues in this event was a moment of great professional and personal enrichment. The meeting included stimulating workshops and innovative projects, all aimed at improving the quality of nursing education and reflecting on contemporary social issues.
Among the most significant activities:

The Human Library Project, designed to combat stereotypes related to aging, offered a space for authentic dialogue where "human books" shared their life stories, allowing participants to challenge biases and rethink their perceptions.

The Accueil Numérique Project showcased strategies for digitally welcoming and supporting students, making it easier for them to access university resources and tools.

An interactive game aimed at first-year students explained the functionalities of university digital tools in a playful and accessible way, highlighting new forms of active learning.

The Escape Game, used as an educational tool to address the topic of domestic violence in the classroom, demonstrated the effectiveness of immersive methodologies in tackling complex and sensitive issues.

Lastly, the visit to the simulation center, focused on roadside first aid, provided insight into the use of simulation as an advanced educational methodology.

The presence of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ and DEASS at this meeting was particularly significant, not only for strengthening existing international relationships but also for developing new ones, thereby reinforcing the school’s role within the European educational landscape. Active participation in this network contributes to promoting student mobility, the exchange of best teaching practices, and the internationalization of the academic offering.

Events like the one in Namur are essential for continuing to build an inclusive, innovative, and culturally aware nursing education, aligned with the challenges of contemporary society.
