What do you study and how would you describe the course?
â¶Ä‹I am studying the Master of Science in Engineering with Electrical Engineering profile. I would describe it as a perfect combination between theory and practice. Not only do we learn to understand various fields of engineering, such as artificial intelligence, imaging systems, radio frequencies, and so on, but we also have the opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary labs and projects. Here, we conduct research, apply and transfer knowledge, and gain insight into what it’s like to work with industry, public institutions, or other academic organizations.
Which are the pros of studying at the Department of Innovative Technologies (DTI)?
â¶Ä‹The program offers a well-balanced integration of theoretical knowledge and practical application and the opportunity to engage with individuals of diverse and distinguished backgrounds is invaluable. Also in projects we have the freedom to choose which solution or algorithm fits the best to the problem we have, which gives us expertise, wisdom, and critical thinking. But this freedom of choice could also be a double-edged sword.

Which are your future goals?
â¶Ä‹In the future, I would like to work in a research laboratory or in a company, where I can apply and upskill what I have learned in this master's journey and contribute somehow to the development of my home country.
Is there a particularly significant experience you would tell us about?
â¶Ä‹A particularly noteworthy experience has been my thesis project. Undertaking research in Microwave Image Tomography reconstruction applying Machine Learning techniques has been both challenging and rewarding. It has demanded significant dedication, discipline, and intellectual curiosity, yet the practical application of acquired knowledge has been truly remarkable. I am deeply appreciative of the support and guidance provided by the faculty throughout this endeavor. Therefore, I would like to highlight that I am super grateful for being surrounded by professors, tutors, and advisors with such a wonderful profile who are always supporting us.
