Lorenzo Pezzoli, Head of the Applied Psychology Competence Center, spent a mobility period at the Reggio Emilia campus of the University of Modena Reggio (UniMoRe).
What research inspired your mobility at the Reggio Emilia campus of the University of Modena Reggio (UniMoRe)?
The mobility at the University of Modena Reggio (UniMoRe), carried out together with my colleague Cinzia Campello, is part of a long path of exchanges and connections that, thanks to the mobility programs offered, has been strengthened and structured over time. This year, the thematic inspiration came from the research and related reflection that the Applied Psychology Competence Center has been conducting for several years on domestic violence, particularly its detection in care settings.
How was the mobility carried out?
A two-day event was organized to share the research results and the related recommendations that emerged from it, along with specific training on the topics of domestic violence. During these meetings, we covered the main theoretical models and addressed the specific elements of detection and intervention. The significant and engaged presence of nursing students, along with their accompanying instructors, was noteworthy.
What does this type of experience leave behind and what explicit goal was declared at the conclusion of the days of exchange and collaboration?
The motivated and dialectical atmosphere allowed us to address delicate and emotionally charged topics in the best possible way, favoring the growth of knowledge and professional skills, as well as personal growth. The days concluded with the explicit intention of continuing in this direction of exchange and collaboration.
