Energy, sustainability and territory - ISAAC
The Energy, sustainability and territory sector aims to promote the implementation, support, and monitoring of energy policy at multiple levels, promoting energy efficiency and renewable energies in both the public and private sectors. Additionally, it studies how to promote the transition to a more sustainable society from the perspective of natural and energy resource use. Two teams are active within the sector: Energy and territory, Sustainability and society.
The Energy, Sustainability and Territory (SEST) sector was born from the combination of two distinct but complementary areas that share a common goal: the energy and climate transition. On one hand, the focus is on a predominantly technological approach, aimed at developing innovative solutions for the production and efficient use of energy. On the other hand, the focus shifts to the social aspects, through the active involvement of stakeholders and end users, ensuring that the transition is inclusive and sustainable.
The connection with the territory is strong, thanks to continuous collaboration and dialogue with various municipalities in the Canton. At the same time, the international dimension plays a crucial role in the growth of the sector, enabling the exchange of knowledge and innovations through participation in both national and international projects. This balanced approach between advanced technologies and attention to social and territorial dynamics makes the EST sector a key player in the transition to a more sustainable future.
