It works closely with representatives of Swiss federal administrations such as the Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) and the Federal Office for Spatial Development (ARE), as well as with cantonal bodies like the Department of Territory, the Department of Health and Social Affairs, the Department of Finance and Economy, and their respective Sections/Offices, as well as with various municipalities such as Lugano, Mendrisio, and Bellinzona.
To address the diverse challenges and ensure the energy transition, collaboration with regional and national professional associations, companies, and industries, including international ones, is essential. Involving the public through participatory tools is also key.
As the sole representative of Italian-speaking Switzerland, the Institute is an active part of the BRENET (Building and Renewable Energies Network of Technology) competence network. We are also active members of Swissolar, Solar Power Europe, Activehouse, Bauen Digital Schweiz, Infrawatt, and others.
