Education for sustainable development - ISAAC
The ISAAC Institute is actively committed to promoting training, information, and awareness activities aimed at schools. Our goal is to foster a concrete change in individual behaviors concerning global energy challenges.
Through targeted initiatives and educational paths, we aim to impart in-depth knowledge and foster a new awareness of sustainable resource use. We work to build an innovative and responsible culture that values energy as a common good, involving students, teachers, and school communities in a process of transformation and growth to collectively face the challenges of the future.
The Institute of Applied Sustainability to the Built Environment is actively engaged in this area through various projects.
ISAAC, in collaboration with TicinoEnergia, promotes and supports education and awareness on environmental and energy issues in Ticino schools through educational activities, lessons, workshops, and much more.
The LEAST project, for example, is an educational program offered free of charge to 5th-grade students and middle school pupils, with support from the Republic and Canton of Ticino, SwissEnergy, and Ticino's electric companies, aimed at guiding students toward environmentally responsible behavior.
