Mission and objectives
The Area of Theatre Education - shared between the and the Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education (DFA/ASP) - explores, develops and enhances the potential of the expressive arts and theatre in particular, as instruments of knowledge and experimentation, capable of conveying embodied experiences by bringing into dialogue multiple languages and knowledge that foster personal and professional growth.
The Area wants to be a cultural leader and at the same time participate in the development process of society.
The intention is to maintain and expand the regional, national and international network by collaborating with organisations and institutions, training and cultural venues, bringing together teachers, researchers, artists, cultural operators and other people interested in the topic.
The projects and training proposals address the essence of the person, his or her inner self, and the person as thought, soul and body. They are supported by continuous pedagogical, artistic and theoretical research that deepens the relationship between artistic languages and educational practices, favouring multidisciplinarity and transversal teaching.
