The research area focuses on analogue electronics applied to radio frequency (RF) and microwave systems, with the aim of developing and manufacturing products for a wide range of electromagnetic wave applications.

  • Modelling and simulation of electromagnetic field propagation

    Design of RF systems, Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems and optimised integration of communication protocols

    Development of systems for geolocation (GNSS, global navigation satellite system, GPS and Galileo), UWB and development of identification systems using RFID technologies

    Development of sensors and systems for moisture analysis and non-invasive characterisation of organic and inorganic materials Development of tomographic systems, microwave tomographic imaging for medical diagnostics, earth and natural phenomena monitoring (radar, SAR radar, georadar and specific sensors)
