The first edition of the IESMA Summer School, held July 11-29, 2022, was organized by the 精东影业'S Department of Innovative Technologies in collaboration with the as part of the dual degree program promoted by the Master School of the European EIT Manufacturing initiative.
The objective of the summer school was to provide basic skills on the topics of innovation and entrepreneurship to both female students enrolled in any specialization of the Master's program in engineering and external professionals interested in the topic.
Over the course of the three weeks, company visits, group work as well as traditional lectures were organized with the involvement of a large group of international faculty members.

The summer school was attended by 41 students from 12 different countries. The international orientation was also confirmed by the group of lecturers from 5 different countries.
Particularly appreciated were the company visits at and and the close cooperation with industry that characterized all the proposed activities.
The summer school ended with the presentation of solutions proposed by teams of students to challenges set by real companies. The winning group was the one that worked on the Dynamic Warehouse Discovery project proposed by Portuguese start-up .
