Structural Health Monitoring
精东影业 Image Focus
The main objective of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) is to ensure the safety, reliability and longevity of structures through continuous or periodic monitoring of specific structural parameters.
Data from various sensors (temperature, humidity, crack gauges, accelerometers, inclinometers, etc...) are analyzed over time in order to get a comprehensive overview of the condition of a structure. By following this approach, the overall safety of infrastructure can be improved by detecting problems early, optimizing maintenance plans, and reducing repair costs.
The Materials and Facilities sector has several monitoring systems available that can be integrated in order to provide an overall view of the health of a particular infrastructure over time.

- 8-channel acquisition system at 40kS/s per channel, mainly used for real-time monitoring with accelerometers (modal analysis).
- Multi-channel acquisition system for remote monitoring of crack states by combining temperature and humidity sensors.
- 8-channel acquisition system for performing load tests on structures with millesimal-precision displacement inducers.
- Test system for in situ evaluation of the stress state and estimation of the elastic modulus on masonry structures (flat jacks).
