When the users enter a dark space, they begin to experience the installation through a soundscape of various audio recordings.  This immerses the users in a sea of sound as they walk around the dark space, illuminated by numerous light objects. The installation uses several presence sensors to detect the user’s position within the space and turn on light bulbs when in proximity to them. The bulbs illuminate the space and reveal circular panels on the floor, telling the story of the Film Festival at different times. When the users approach these circles, presence sensors activate spotlights illuminating them and bringing attention to the pendant microphones hanging in that location inviting users to listen audio recordings, audible only to the users who bring the microphone close to their ears. 

This action invites other users to look for and listen to the other microphones scattered in the space. After listening to the audio that contextualizes the various editions of the Film Festival, a QR code on the circular information panel leads users to further information within the Film Festival application, allowing them to learn more about its history.
