May 22nd, 2025
from 12.00 to 14.00
Simon Raiser and Karina Frank of planpolitik, a Berlin-based interactive political education agency, will present the methodology of educational simulations. This is an effective method for approaching complex topics from a systemic perspective and understanding the mechanisms underlying an institutional system and decision-making processes in politics.
This approach, based on experiential learning, where theory and practice intertwine, makes abstract concepts more tangible and understandable. Through immersion in specific roles within simulated realistic scenarios, participants acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills such as negotiation and teamwork, enhancing their critical analysis and problem-solving abilities.
Raiser and Frank will illustrate how these simulations help promote democratic education and strengthen the skills of dialogue and collaboration, which are fundamental elements of active and aware citizenship.
