The sixteenth edition of Iride, Journal of Economics, Health and Social Work has been released in May and is devoted entirely to the discipline and practice of social work.
The contemporary world is going through an historical period marked by uncertainties more than ever before. In this "changing world," as the very title of the issue states and as described in the editorial by DEASS Director Luca Crivelli, "we wanted to look at the role and profession of the social worker and how his skills need to change in order to deal effectively with the complexity of the contemporary world. But beyond that, the issue also questions how much has remained unchanged, namely the values and mission of social work, since among the tasks of these professionals is that of sentinels of the rights of those who are relegated to the margins of society and have no voice."
As usual, the publication sees in-house contributions and is embellished with contents by partners from the rest of Switzerland and Lombardia.
