The fourth issue of the journal will be devoted to the new challenges for the didactics of Italian. In recent decades, didactics has undergone a profound renewal, seeking to meet the needs of both learners and teachers, and more generally, the linguistic requirements of society. The current situation and the future look even more complex and, at the same time, stimulating, between questions of language and the representation of identity, needs linked to accessibility and inclusion with respect to texts and forms of communication, different cognitive aptitudes of the new generations in the practices of orality, reading and writing, and interactions with artificial intelligence and its possibilities. These are just some of the possible areas to which future research and teaching experiences should be directed, also in an innovative key and with an interdisciplinary outlook.
The current context, moreover, with the needs due to globalisation and democratic language education, has led to new needs, new target groups and new teaching methodologies. Multimedia and multimodality, for example, make it possible to devise learning paths that are constantly evolving and offer access to potentially unlimited resources, thanks also to the use of online content. Without neglecting the motivational aspects, today more than ever of great importance to involve the younger generations more effectively in the learning processes.
The fourth issue aims to be a reflection on precisely these topics and invites researchers to send in their original articles that can make a contribution on a theoretical or empirical level. The journal will also welcome any contributions that are on the fringe of the theme chosen for the next issue.
Proposals should be submitted via the by 28 June 2024.
