In-house project - Redevelopment of the Quadrifoglio Sports Center: Analysis of the potential use of sports facilities and evaluation of new uses

As part of the "In-company project" module, Bachelor's in Business Administration students carry out a real project on behalf of a company or organisation in the area, with the aim of analysing and investigating a specific situation and developing practical proposals and recommendations.
This particular teaching activity combines theory and practice with a problem-solving approach that prepares graduates for entry into the world of work and is a valuable activity for companies in the area, which can count on a motivated and dynamic group of students to carry out internal projects.
Samuel B., Daniel, Samuel R. and Elson were given the task of devising a plan to upgrade a sports facility, the Quadrifoglio Sports Centre, for the municipality of Monteceneri.
The municipality of Monteceneri was created in November 2010 following the aggregation of the former municipalities of Bironico, Camignolo, Medeglia, Rivera and Sigirino. Among the various new municipal facilities in the territory is the Quadrifoglio Sports Centre, located in Rivera. The municipality of Monteceneri wishes to upgrade the existing facilities of the sports centre and expand its offerings, and to do so requires a strategic plan that takes into account the needs of the municipality's sports clubs, the needs of the citizens, the real user potential of the new facilities, and evaluates the possibility of taking advantage of new strategic elements in the area (such as, for example, the new TiLo railway station planned within four years).
The project team was therefore asked to carry out an in-depth analysis of the current situation and future trends at a national level, and to gather detailed information on the local population, in order to propose an attractive solution adapted to the real current and future needs of the area.
