Many companies and boards of directors around the world are questioning how they can define their company's purpose beyond profit. This is the background to this meeting, during which the importance of being a purpose-driven company, guided in every strategic and business decision by its purpose, its purpose, is explored. The 'why' is the very purpose for which a company exists, and as such it is essential that it also translates into a demonstration of integrity and maximum commitment in adopting it, realising it and communicating it externally. This passes through the adoption of business models in 'shared value' logic, the paradigm introduced a decade ago by Michael Porter and Mark Kramer, according to which companies have the right and the duty to use their economic power to satisfy the real needs of society and the planet. How to set up a shared value strategy? During the meeting, these issues will be explored with the support of a case study.
