Manuel is a Master of Science in Engineering student with a Computer Science profile. He currently has a particular interest in Blockchain technology and the ideology of Web3, which allow for the radical transformation of multiple fields.
How would you describe your course?
​â¶Ä‹I would say practical, exhaustive and thorough. In addition to the various theoretical modules, applied projects allow for continuous improvement.
What are the pros of studying at the Department of Innovative Technologies?

Pursuing a degree at DTI comes with numerous benefits. The program is designed to be practical and aligned with the demands of the current job market. I opted for part-time study to balance my education with work, enabling me to immediately apply the knowledge I gain in a professional environment. The curriculum is also flexible and customizable, allowing for specialization in areas of personal interest. Additionally, the faculty consists of industry experts who provide top-tier training.
What are your goals for the future?

I am currently deeply interested in Blockchain technology and the Web3 ideology, both of which have the potential to revolutionize various industries. My aim is to deepen my understanding by exploring the diverse applications of this complex technology. In the future, I hope to integrate this passion into my professional life, sharing my expertise and contributing to the development of innovative, cutting-edge solutions.
Is there a particularly significant experience you would like to tell about?
​â¶Ä‹A significant moment in my journey at DTI was writing my Bachelor's thesis, as I had the opportunity to cope with different situations, for which it was necessary to put everything I had learned into practice. It was a moment of personal fulfillment.
What would you recommend to a current and/or prospective student?
​â¶Ä‹I would recommend making the most of the opportunities offered by the course, defining a path that reflects one's interests and professional ambitions, as well as considering the various extracurricular activities offered by the department.
Finally, I would suggest embracing the possibility offered by the MSE pathway, which allows you to take some courses at other professional universities in Switzerland.
