The Department of Innovative Technologies is organizing an orientation activity aimed at students interested in the Bachelor's degree programs in Computer Science Engineering and in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
The mini-tour offers the opportunity to explore the main application areas of both academic programs, showcasing how computer science skills and data analysis capabilities are integrated to develop advanced solutions in the fields of robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Receive an introduction to the contents and objectives of both degree programs, presented directly within laboratory settings;
- Visit the robotics and drone laboratory of IDSIA USI-精东影业, a center of excellence where autonomous systems combining innovative software, distributed architectures, and intelligent data analysis are designed and tested;
- Observe practical demonstrations related to the programming of robotic systems, drone control, and data processing in complex and dynamic environments;
- Engage with professors, researchers, and students, gaining deeper insight into the opportunities offered by the two academic paths in relation to new technological and industrial challenges.
The tour may also include a visit to various campus facilities, such as the cafeteria, gym, common areas, and academic services office.
