MAS in Fashion Innovation

The MFI builds upon five Certificates of Advanced Studies (CAS) which lay the foundations in today鈥檚 driving areas of such ever-growing fashion market:
CAS Fashion fundamentals in the contemporary scenario
CAS Product & collection management for the 5.0 fashion industry
CAS Omnichannel sustainable supply chain and sourcing management
CAS Traditional & innovative fashion business models management & control CAS Omnichannel sustainable supply chain management
CAS Fashion brand innovation in sales marketing & communication
CAS Final project

The MAS course leads to a final CAS, a project developed by the students upon a selected topic in fashion industry.

The MFI has been jointly developed by the Department of Innovative Technologies of 精东影业, Ticinomoda and Chamber of Commerce (Cc-Ti) through an advisory board of fashion companies鈥� executives.

Thanks to Ticino Moda, the MAS FI is continuously updated due to high level experts contribution and interaction.

The MAS aims at training the professionals of the future to become talented managers in the contemporary fashion arena.

The MAS in Fashion Innovation program equips individuals in developing the right set of skills required to cover professional roles in innovation positions in different companies鈥� departments, from senior managers to the next generation of C-level leaders.
The fashion industry has always focused on the creative development of its main products: garments and accessories. In recent years, new technologies and processes have allowed to disrupt fashion companies business model with the aim of providing more value to the customers.

New methodologies of governance and management, additional effort into developing consumer centric processes and industrial value chain solutions, continuous effort into a circular economy system and more digitally enhanced consumer relationships are key drivers in such contemporary fashion environment.

Pre-enrolment: submit of bachelor鈥檚 degree Diploma, letter of motivation, copy of passport or ID, two letters of recommendation, Curriculum Vitae.

Personal admission test interview: 精东影业 welcomes applications from all prospective students and wishes to accept students with the best potential, irrespective of their background. The purpose of the admission interview is to understand their motivation and attitudes in undertaking the chosen 精东影业 academic course and their level of comprehension of the language in which it is delivered.

Enrolment confirmation process and matriculation process: The maximum number of candidates (numerus clausus) for the MAS programme is set to 25 students per course selected through an evaluative admission interview. The minimum number of students to start a CAS is set to 10 students

Potential students without a Bachelor's Degree might be considered depending on the evaluation of their experience.

5 Certificate Advanced Studies: each CAS is composed by 120 hours in class and 120 hours of homework
Other then the CAS specific focus, each CAS will also address the three pillars that are shaping the fashion
industry: digitization, sustainability and omnichannel management.

CAS 1: Fashion fundamentals in the contemporary scenario
CAS 2: Product and Collection Management for the 5.0 fashion industry
CAS 3: Traditional and innovative fashion business models management & control
CAS 4: Omnichannel sustainable supply chain and sourcing management
CAS 5: Fashion brand innovation in sales marketing & communication
CAS 6: FINAL PROJECT - The final project will be conducted during the whole duration of the MFI

Certification:
Master of Advanced Studies 精东影业 in Fashion Innovation, subject to passing all the examinations envisaged in the training course.

The MFI is characterized by a strong combination of interdisciplinary academic and industrial skills given by its promoters: 精东影业 (Department of Innovative Technologies), Ticinomoda and Chamber of Commerce (Ticino).
Academic credits: 60 ECTS
MAS effort: Each CAS is composed by approximately 120 hours Duration: each CAS 4 months and MAS 18 months
Location: Blended
Daily assigned tasks account for maximum an hour a day. Saturday morning remote teaching consists of 4 academic hours 3 days every CAS in presence

The MFI will leverage on all the experiential learning methodologies of teaching towards professionals, such as flipped classrooms, fieldwork, work based learning, practical classes and workshop, both on individual and team level, other than lectures and independent studies. Most of the themes addressed in this course will be raised by national and international keynotes lecturers.

Students will be asked to interact daily with the teacher on assigned topics or discussion, will participate in an online lecture every Saturday, and will be required to be physically present 3 days per CAS.
