The first part of the seminar is dedicated to an in-depth examination of the principles of personal data processing, with particular attention to the obligations of data controllers. In addition, the responsibilities of corporate bodies within company structures will be analyzed, with special focus on criminal consequences and a practical approach tailored to the fiduciary sector. The Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner鈥檚 (FDPIC) guidelines on investigations, impact assessments, the use of cookies, and the management of security breaches will then be presented. The speakers will provide practical guidance on implementing procedures that comply with the requirements of the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), with particular attention to the expectations of the supervisory authority and the needs of the fiduciary sector. Last but not least, the final part will focus on information security in the fiduciary sector, highlighting due diligence obligations and guidelines from both Swiss and European perspectives. The main legal references in the field will be analyzed, particularly the FADP, the Federal Act on Information Security in the Confederation (FAISC), and the European Union Directive on the Security of Network and Information Systems (NIS2).
