April 2nd, 2025
from 12.00 to 14.00
The meeting, led by Palma Grano, Ph.D. in Education and Society, starts from some reflections in her doctoral thesis, focused on glocal Citizenship Education (CE) in Ticino. During the presentation, the practical implications behind glocal CE, an approach that differs from global CE and civic education, will be exposed.
The meeting aims to create a space for dialogue on the limitations and opportunities that teachers face in dealing with glocal CE in the classroom. In addition, the potential of a proposal for in-service training (and beyond) that prepares teachers to integrate this vision into their discipline and/or to collaborate with their colleagues will be discussed.
