Where do you work and what do you do?
​â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹Since November 2022, I have been Director of Nursing at the Santa Croce Clinic in Orselina. I coordinate and supervise day-to-day nursing activities, ensuring that patients receive high quality care. I supervise nursing staff, develop protocols and guidelines for nursing care, participate in treatment planning for patients and ensure that ethical and legal standards are met.
As Director of Nursing at the Santa Croce Clinic, how important do you consider training in mental health and psychiatry to be?
​â¶Ä‹Training in mental health is of great importance. Mental health is indeed a crucial field that requires specialised skills and an in-depth understanding of different aspects. It is essential to understand users through their pathology in order to improve activities in the different departments by ensuring quality care and planning recovery.
What motivated you to attend DAS Mental Health and Psychiatry?
​â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹I chose to attend the training because I strongly believe in the importance of continuous learning and personal development. DAS Mental Health and Psychiatry at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ gives me the opportunity to acquire new skills and knowledge that are essential for my professional and personal development; it also allows me to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and innovations in the field of mental health, which is crucial in an ever-changing world. I am convinced that investing in training is a crucial step towards achieving long-term goals and contributing meaningfully to the community and the sector in which I am active.
What benefits have you experienced by attending DAS?

It has provided me with advanced knowledge to manage nursing staff more effectively, ensuring the provision of high quality care to patients with mental disorders. The DAS has also helped me to better understand the complexities of mental disorders, implement targeted nursing practices, and improve my communication and relationship with patients. The specialisation has made me a reference point within the clinic, helping to raise the overall level of care provided and to lead the nursing team with competence and sensitivity. The training is full of essential information for daily practice in patient care and relations with all nursing staff.
