The portfolio is a dynamic tool for reflecting on one's professional profile and allows one to identify one's training needs and professional development objectives on the basis of one's own self-assessment. The trainee gradually builds it up, collecting significant elements that testify to the presence or evolution of a given level of competence.
Filled with reflections and operational proposals, the Notebook first presents a theoretical framework for reflecting on the instrument of the Portfolio with a view to the development of the teacher's professional identity, and then focuses on the use of this device in various training areas, with concrete proposals and work tracks, such as the learning biography, the logbook, and the use of metaphor.
The volume is the result of a project of the Competence Centre for Education, Learning and Teaching (EAI) of the . Written by 40+ hands, it offers a transversal look at a central device for accompanying the construction of professional identity throughout a teacher's career, from the first year of training through to entry into the world of work.
