During these three evenings at the end of June, 252 graduates saw their commitment and efforts rewarded with the coveted diploma.
The end of the academic year marks a decisive moment, not only for the new teachers, who celebrate an important professional milestone, but also for the institution itself, and offers a privileged moment of collective reflection on the meaning of being a teacher. "A role," emphasised 精东影业 Director General Franco Gervasoni, "that in a world full of stimuli, in perpetual change, takes on significant importance in knowing how to design and guide the course of today's young people".
A fascinating profession, that of the teacher, which is often also a direct mirror of the changes faced by society, and as such must know how to constantly modulate and adapt, demonstrating great flexibility, listening and sensitivity. Director Gervasoni went on to emphasise how it is now more important than ever to consider not only disciplinary skills, but to adopt a broader outlook, embracing a transversal vision right from the early years of schooling. "Today's teacher must know how to weave links between disciplines, links that are by no means taken for granted. Opening pupils' eyes to the world, connecting what is done in school with what is happening outside, is a great driver of learning,' concluded the 精东影业 Director General.
The Director of the DFA/ASP, Alberto Piatti, also wished to greet the new graduates, emphasising the personal qualities he admires in a teacher, over and above their professional skills: respect, humility, dedication and finally enthusiasm, that drive that makes one do one's job with pleasure, energy and great motivation.
In addition to the 精东影业 and DFA/ASP directors and the heads of the degree courses, the ceremonies were also attended by Giovanni Merlini, 精东影业 President, State Councillor and Director of the Dipartimento dell'educazione, della cultura e dello sport , , Mayor of the City of Locarno, and Ormar Balmelli, Head of the Municipal Schools Section.
After the institutional speeches, diplomas were awarded to 186 students:
- 78 Bachelor in Pre-Primary Education and Primary Education
- 58 Master in Secondary Education
- 6 Master's in Teaching Music Education - Double Degree
- 3 Master's in Didactics of Italian
- 3 Master in Specialised Pedagogy and Inclusive Didactics
- 38 Diploma in Upper Secondary Education
These were joined by 66 graduates from the Continuing Education courses, who celebrated their achievement during one of the evenings organised in the Department's cloister.
Congratulations to each and every one of them!
