Giada Danesi is an anthropologist and sociologist and is working at the CPPS, DEASS-精东影业. She worked as a senior researcher at the Department of Technology Studies at the University of St. Gallen (2020-23), at the Laboratory of Science and Technology Studies (STSLab) at the University of Lausanne (2015-19) and at the Centre for Public Health and Community Care Research at the University of Hertfordshire (2014). She is board member of the Swiss Association for Science and Technology Studies (STS CH) and member of the Swiss Medical Anthropology Commission (MAS).
Her research focuses on the production and circulation of knowledge in the field of health and care, (self-) management practices and digital health technologies in the fields of chronic diseases, food and eating. She conducts research using ethnographic and qualitative methodology.
