Giulia, 29, a banking professional, after eight years of experience in Wealth Management chose to expand her skills with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ. Through a program that integrates study and work, she tells how she discovered new perspectives and strengthened organizational skills, emphasizing the importance of education for personal and professional growth.
What profession are you currently in?
â¶Ä‹â€‹â¶Ä‹â€‹â¶Ä‹I have been working as a banking employee for eight years in the field of Wealth Management. I began my career at Credit Suisse, where I had the opportunity to delve deeper into the world of wealth management and entrepreneurship, and then continued at Vontobel, also in the same field. These roles allowed me to acquire technical and interpersonal skills, which are crucial to offering customized solutions to clients, but I felt the need to grow further.
Why did you choose a university education? And why, in particular, the Bachelor's degree in business administration at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ?
â¶Ä‹I chose a university education because I strongly believe in the need to broaden my skills and have a more comprehensive and strategic view of business dynamics. The Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ was the ideal choice because of its combination of theory and practice, which allows me to immediately apply what I have learned to the business context. Moreover, the Major in Financial Services was a great added value, as it allowed me to deepen and broaden my knowledge in the financial field, a crucial aspect for my career path. During these years, I have also had the opportunity to explore aspects related to entrepreneurship through carrying out concrete projects that have given me a broader view of my future capabilities and possibilities.
You chose to study in parallel with your professional activity. How did you find yourself in this mode of study? What did you particularly appreciate?
Studying while working is not easy, but it is extremely rewarding. The PAP pathway makes it possible to effectively balance study and work, offering the opportunity to maintain employment while gaining new knowledge and skills. In addition, I particularly appreciated that this experience allowed me to get to know many people with different backgrounds, creating an enriching network of contacts both personally and professionally. This mode of study also allowed me to better organize my school, work and personal life commitments, significantly improving my ability to manage time and priorities.
Any advice to those who want to take your path?
â¶Ä‹â€‹â¶Ä‹â€‹â¶Ä‹â€‹â€‹â¶Ä‹â€‹â¶Ä‹â€‹â¶Ä‹â€‹My advice is not to underestimate the commitment required, but to see training as an investment in oneself. It is important to have good organizational skills and determination, but also to be able to rely on the support of colleagues, faculty and family members. Do not be afraid to put yourself out there: college education not only enriches skills, but also offers new perspectives, opportunities for personal growth, and chances to explore your potential in even unexpected areas.
