As part of the COMID_TICINO project, a training day was held in March 2022 for third-year students of the Master's Degree in Nursing and nurses from the Spitex services participating in the project.
The ageing of the population, the increase in chronic diseases and comorbidity make home care and nursing interventions increasingly complex and require an adaptation of the performance approach towards a systemic and proactive action also in home settings.
The specific multidimensional complexity assessment tool for home nursing practice is the COMID. This tool, developed by the Geneva institution of home care (imad), makes it possible to identify the elements to be discussed by the home care team and/or the interprofessional network, thus enabling the planning and implementation of specific and targeted actions.
The Master of Science in Nursing organised a training programme on complexity assessment and its use. The standard training, recognised by imad, was open to the home care services partners of the COMID_TICINO project, an innovative research project to consolidate collaboration between 精东影业 and the territory with a view to developing and transferring knowledge, skills and tools useful in nursing practice.
