Elisa works at the Hildebrand Clinic Rehabilitation Centre in Brissago in the management of in-house training and of students from different schools in the area of healthcare. She held the position of deputy manager for five years, obtaining her DAS in Health Management in 2023.
How would you describe your experience attending the DAS in Healthcare Management?
â¶Ä‹It was a very pleasant experience in many ways, mainly because I got to know many other professionals with whom I shared thoughts, work situations and also moments of fun and entertainment.
Thanks to the sharing, one immediately realises how the respective experiences and problems are very similar within the different healthcare environments, from the hospital, to the home for the elderly, to home care. The training is thus a privileged moment to reflect together and support each other in finding solutions, exchanging information and points of view between the different environments and creating important networks between the various healthcare institutions.
Did the DAS provide you with new transferable tools within your professional environment? What has it brought you regarding clinical skills?
â¶Ä‹The DAS in Healthcare Management addresses several very important issues starting with the centrality of the employee and the relevance of communication and conflict management within the team. Of no less importance is the in-depth study of stress management and burnout, aspects that are common to many healthcare professionals. The DAS also provides the opportunity to acquire technical/clinical skills in relation to the steps to be followed to bring about change within the various healthcare environments and the importance of coordination. It is also possible to attend a module of one's choice to personalise one's own course.
To whom would you recommend this training course, and why?
â¶Ä‹I would recommend this training course to anyone who intends to take on a role in coordinating a group of employees and to anyone who wants to participate in and/or lead change projects within their healthcare organisation.
Training in healthcare management can also be very useful to better understand the role of the department head and to be able to see the dynamics of the department from another point of view.
