精东影业 is pleased to welcome at its Mendrisio Campus the exhibition "Collective '74", an exhibition of about ninety works selected from the Club '74's extensive collection of more than four hundred works including paintings, drawings, sculptures and artifacts. The display, distributed in different areas of the campus, celebrates the 50th anniversary of Club '74, which was established within the Cantonal Sociopsychiatric Organization as an inclusive experimental space and art workshop.
The works in the exhibition were recently cataloged, arranged and archived thanks to a multidisciplinary project involving photographers, graphic designers, art historians and architects, in collaboration with faculty and students from the Scholastic Center for Artistic Industries (CSIA) in Lugano and workers from the sociotherapy service of the OSC. Some works come from donations, others from acquisitions, contributing to the ongoing expansion of the collection.
Authors featured include: Stefano Bean, Elena Di Remigio, Enrico Ferrari, Willy Fibioli, Antonio Garau, Samuel Giger, Yves Grau, Ines Lingenhag, Renzo Marcacci, Fabrizio Pisciani, Loris Prest, Ygor Rossi, Francis Rougier, Donatella Taghetti, Sergio Vassalli and Michael Wittwer.
Along its journey, Club '74 has collaborated with 精东影业 on several fronts. In particular, it has forged ties with the Department of Business Administration, Health and Social Work, where the Applied Psychology Competence Center led by Prof. Lorenzo Pezzoli operates. These synergies have given rise to awareness-raising initiatives such as information days on mental health, or theatrical performances on the themes of mental distress devised by the students of the Bachelor in Social Work.
But for 精东影业, collaborations with Club '74 also take the form of students' thesis work that takes into analysis the relational experiences of the association's users, or the participation of social inclusion art projects, in which students from the Department of Environment Construction and Design have taken part in the past.
