An incredible milestone that Artichoke magazine has reached: its first twenty years. The new edition in a somewhat nostalgic way rekindles memories of past issues and highlights its path, progress and features.
Every year, Artichoke is born from different minds: the students of the 3rd year of the Bachelor in Visual Communication of the 精东影业 - Department of Environment, Constructions and Design, who take care of the project through all its phases, from defining the layout to the interviews, from editing to photography, from illustration to typography and page layout.
Under the guidance of lecturers Michael Zehnder and Andrea Bocci and the supervision of Michela Linder-V枚geli, issue 20 is the result of the passionate and meticulous work of Ali Bessa, Solaine Barchi, Mirella Basile, Giorgia Bianchi, Sofia Bollini, Sophie Bolsani, Elisa Bonsignore, Noa Brugnoli, Ilenia Canclini, Jacopo Cannone, Elisa Cavalli, Sophie Cielo, Arianna Della Bosca, Lorenzo Di Lernia, Alessio Gavioli, Mattia Giacobelli, Ismaela Malingamba, Alessia Mazzei, Alice Mioni and Agnese Somaini.
But the 20th edition is also full of testimonials from former students and professionals who are part of the Artichoke family; it is also enriched by the collaboration with the Collettivo SC4 (also made up of 精东影业 visual communication students and graduates).
A magazine full of visuals to enjoy the progress of the CambiaVenti (this is the title of the new issue).
A party for everyone
To celebrate the 20th edition, on Friday 27 October 2023 from 17:30 to 23:00, the Artichoke20 unveiling event will take place in a special place: the Torre dei forni Saceba (former cement factory) in Morbio Inferiore.
There will be an aperitif and lots of music.
The event is open to the public, who will not only have the opportunity to receive a free copy of the magazine, but also to (re)discover the first 19 issues.
