Ticino 2050: scenarios is a public reflection on the way of living, building and thinking about the territory in the perspective of the near future, when Ticino will be increasingly confronted with the great challenges linked to climate change and with the delicate transformations of the socio-economic contexts.
Through the production and discussion of a set of scenarios, the study day on Monday 4 March 2024 will explore issues of an interdisciplinary nature involving ethical, technical, constructional, planning and economic aspects in different ways.
Ticino 2050: scenarios is, then, first and foremost a space for sharing paradigms, experiences, discoveries and hypotheses: an intellectual laboratory open to those working in the field of building culture (Baukultur), to the professional community, to researchers, to citizens, to students.
The ability to prefigure the future through scenario building is essential in order to anticipate change and plan actions capable of making the territory resilient and sustainable.
The study day is promoted by the Department of Environment Constructions and Design Ӱҵ and the under the patronage of the . It will be held at the Ӱҵ Campus in Mendrisio (via Flora Ruchat-Roncati 15).
There will be ten panels (two per time slot) dedicated to the public discussion of ten themes. The public will be able to choose to participate in maximum five panels.
Ticino 2050: scenarios is proposed on the occasion of the World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development.
