Enea is currently training at the Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ to become a primary school teacher. In the future, he hopes to put what he has learnt in his three years of study to good use and does not rule out the possibility of one day returning to the classroom for further specialisation.
Why did you choose to pursue Bachelor in Primary Education training?
â¶Ä‹I chose the Bachelor in Primary Education because I love being with children and I want to be part of their growth. Between the ages of 6 and 12, they discover the world and have experiences that will mark them forever. At this stage, which is so receptive and delicate, the relationship with the teacher can make all the difference in their safety and development. I like the idea of accompanying them on this journey and helping to shape them as future citizens.
What do you particularly appreciate about your experiences at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ?
â¶Ä‹One of the aspects I appreciate most is the attention ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ pays to practice and interdisciplinarity. Here we don't just learn to pass on notions, but to link subjects, respecting the times and needs of each pupil.
In an increasingly diverse environment, this approach values diversity and encourages mutual growth.
In addition, the teachers also support us on a personal level, helping us to develop our uniqueness as future teachers. Practice also plays a central role in my training. For example, the internship in the canton of Vaud turned out to be a very enriching field experience: working in a different linguistic and cultural context allowed me to observe new educational practices and gain valuable insights for my professional future.
What advice would you give to people considering applying for the same Bachelor's degree?
â¶Ä‹I recommend approaching it with openness and a willingness to get involved. It is not only a professional training, but a personal growth experience that also transforms us as citizens. It is ideal for those who love being in contact with children and want to contribute to their growth. Being a teacher means not just passing on knowledge, but learning and improving every day with passion.
Degree as a point of arrival or departure?
â¶Ä‹Graduation is an important milestone for me, but above all a starting point, a foundation on which I can continue to build and grow professionally. After graduation I would like to gain experience in the classroom, but also continue with training or specialisation to enrich my professionalism. And, why not, in the future I might also consider new responsibilities or roles in the educational field.
