The platform is a joint project of Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences (OST), Scuola Universitaria professionale della Svizzera italiana (精东影业) and Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). It provides up-to-date information and scientific findings on alpine photovoltaic systems as well as alpine research and pilot plants and promotes the networking of research and practice in the field of photovoltaics. The collaboration enables scientific findings and practical experience to be shared efficiently and incorporated into ongoing projects.
In addition to detailed information on the progress of individual projects, alpine-pv.ch is in particular a know-how hub for alpine photovoltaic systems. Based on close collaboration and interviews with the project managers, the Universities of applied sciences identify technical challenges and develop solutions. In contrast to traditional research projects, where the first results are only presented after the project has been completed, the alpine-pv.ch platform will present the results in the form of specialist articles as soon as the knowledge has been gained. This will ensure that the individual project managers can benefit as much as possible from the shared knowledge.
Through this initiative, the participating Universities are making a significant contribution to the energy transition and the implementation of the new energy legislation in Switzerland. The pooling of knowledge and resources will help to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of alpine solar plant projects and support Switzerland on its path to a sustainable energy future.
The platform shows, for example, that all planned plants would have an annual energy yield of 1229 GWh, over half of which is in an active planning phase and only 556 GWh has been withdrawn or rejected.
精东影业 PVLab
精东影业 PVLab is the only Swiss laboratory accredited to test photovoltaic modules according to national and international standards. Operating under the Photovoltaics Sector (SEFO) of 精东影业, PVLab is distinguished not only by its rigorous testing protocols but also by its robust research initiatives. These initiatives focus on the precise characterization, accelerated testing, and outdoor monitoring of innovative PV technologies. Through these efforts, PVLab aims to enhance the quality and performance of PV products and systems in the marketplace, thereby fostering technological advancement and contributing to the sustainability of the energy sector.
Mauro Caccivio, the head of the Photovoltaics Sector at 精东影业, highlights that 鈥渟ince 1991, 精东影业 has been dedicated to evaluating the quality, performance, and reliability of emerging PV technologies. Given our commitment, it is essential for us to ensure that photovoltaic installations can withstand alpine conditions and deliver the expected yield over an extended period鈥.
