Boys and girls with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder face numerous daily challenges, including time management, material organisation and planning of commitments. For them, it is not always easy to respond to the demands of various life contexts (school, family, sports) and to find appropriate strategies that enable them to be effective and to develop their potential to the full.
The difficulties they often encounter risk generating feelings of mistrust, affecting their motivation. Monitoring behaviour and intervening promptly with appropriate strategies can make a big difference in the lives of teenagers with ADHD. And it is precisely in this sense that the event organised by the and the Competence Centre for School, Social and Educational Needs of the , during which Professor Nader Perroud will present ideas and strategies useful for strengthening the collaboration between school, family and professionals and better supporting young people in their daily lives.
Speaker
, is Professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Geneva, with a focus on research into psychiatric disorders. He has conducted numerous studies in the field of clinical neuroscience, focusing on disorders such as ADHD and other adolescent psychiatric problems. Perroud is renowned for his commitment to education and scientific outreach and collaborates with international research and academic institutions..
