Where do you come from and how did you find out about ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ?
​â¶Ä‹I come from Iran. I found out about ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ through my sister, who is actively involved in the field of computer science. She recommended ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ to me, knowing my interest in furthering my education in a practical and innovative environment.
What do you study and how would you describe the course?
​â¶Ä‹I'm studying the second year of the Bachelor in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The course covers essential topics in AI and machine learning, combined with a strong foundation in mathematics and computer science principles. It prepares us for careers in various AI-related fields, such as medicine, finance, and beyond. It allows us to apply our knowledge to real-world problems effectively.
Which are the pros of studying and the Department of Innovative Technologies?
Studying at the Department of Innovative Technologies offers a range of practical skills beyond AI expertise. The department emphasizes teamwork, presentation abilities, data visualization, and problem-solving, alongside AI skills. Through collaborative projects and workshops, students develop effective communication, data interpretation, and critical thinking. I have always been fascinated by the potential benefits of AI in biomedical applications. My future goals revolve around using data science to contribute to advancements in healthcare, particularly in the fields of biomedical and robotics.
Is there a particularly significant experience you would like to tell us about?
One of the most significant experiences during my academic journey was the completion of a semester project in machine learning. This project provided me with invaluable insights into the practical applications of machine learning and its relevance in solving real-world problems.
While doing this project, I had the opportunity to work on a supervised learning project where we solved a real-world dataset and addressed a specific problem in the domain of healthcare. Through this project, I gained hands-on experience in data preprocessing, feature engineering, model selection, and evaluation.
