Educational project
Mixed Reality interaction models
精东影业 Image Focus
The project studies the mechanisms of user interaction in mixed reality (MR) on devices such as smart glasses, in order to apply them to educational activities. The interaction modes are tested in practice by developing small applications that lead to interesting insights into their applicability.
Augmented reality and mixed reality (AR/MR) technologies are stimulating great interest in various fields of application, including education. 精东影业 is conducting research in collaboration with SUFFP to explore the use of these technologies in vocational education.
The aim of this diploma thesis is to study new MR interaction mechanisms and apply them in the context of a teaching activity for learning.
Application prototypes were developed for Microsoft's HoloLens 2 device in order to understand its limits and potential, testing and demonstrating various interaction modes in practice. This study makes it possible to define some guidelines for the development of MR applications by suggesting appropriate case studies.
