Radon is a noble gas of natural origin that exudes from the ground and can infiltrate in buildings. It is a colourless, odourless, tasteless, and radioactive gas that represents the second most frequent cause of lung cancer. The Radon Competence Centre studies it, thanks to the joint action of collaborators from various units of the Department of the Environment, Construction and Design.
