Production systems for the pharmaceutical industry

Fosters working in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food industries. In these sectors, production processes, machinery selection, and plant management are integrated into quality management systems and must comply with strict regulations and technical standards.
In the second year, students must indicate two preferred options for the in-depth profiles in order of priority. The activation of each profile is subject to reaching a minimum number of enrollments.

  • Theory and pratice

    The study programme has a strong practical and professional orientation with numerous exercises and laboratory activities accompanying the theoretical lectures in the classroom. 

  • Theses and projects

    Starting from a solid theoretical framework, the thesis and projects take the form of well-contextualised practical activities carried out in cooperation with local companies and institutions.

  • Language

    Courses are delivered in Italian.
    The fifth semester is offered in English.

The Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Management provides for 180 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System).
 
ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) is the European system for the recognition, transfer and accumulation of educational credits. One ECTS credit corresponds to a workload of approximately 30 hours. One academic year usually corresponds to 60 ECTS credits (1800 working hours); 45 credits for study in parallel with the profession (1350 hours of work).
The course involves weekly attendance with four days in the classroom and one day remotely.
The total duration is 3 years.

It is aimed at those who wish to maintain their professional employment. However, it is required to reduce work activity to at least 80 percent.

The course involves attendance of two evenings a week plus one full day (Friday). Sixty percent of the lecture hours can alternatively be taken at a distance in the blended learning formula (for more information, contact the Graduate Program Manager). The course lasts for 4 years.

Applications for the 2025-2026 academic year are open.

Applications for admission are submitted exclusively by following the online procedure on the .

Candidates are eligible for direct admission if they possess one of the following diplomas or academic qualifications:

  • Professional Maturity in Technology, Architecture, and Life Sciences (MPT) or Professional Maturity in Economics and Services (MPES) with a Federal Vocational Education and Training (VET) certificate in a profession related to the field of study. Foreign diplomas from equivalent institutions are also recognized.

  •  Diploma from the Cantonal School of Commerce (SCC) in Bellinzona.

  • Technical Diploma (ST) or a qualification from another Specialized Higher Education Institution (SSS) related to the field of study.

Candidates holding a Federal High School Maturity or a recognized foreign High School Maturity diploma must complete one year of qualified professional experience and may enroll under the "Practical Year*" program.

Candidates over 25 with relevant education or work experience may be eligible for admission through a dossier-based evaluation, even without meeting standard entry requirements.

Once the procedure is completed, the applicant receives an automatic message of successful application to the email address provided.

Outcome of the application

All applications for admission are assessed by 精东影业. 
 
In the event of a positive response, 精东影业 will send an email with instructions for confirming the application for admission. In the event of non-admission, the applicant will be contacted individually by the DTI Secretariat. 

Confirmation of entry
After confirming your enrollment on the , you must submit the following original documents to the 精东影业 Directorate:
  • Completed and signed ASUP form
  • Signed enrollment confirmation
  • Diploma, or if not yet obtained, a certificate of attendance from your current school
You can monitor the status of your enrollment at any time via the Student Portal and download both the ASUP form and the enrollment confirmation even after completing the admission process (My Education > ).

To submit an admission application via the 精东影业 Student Portal, you must have a . If you already have one, you can log in to the 精东影业 Student Portal using your credentials. Otherwise, follow the procedure described below.

To create the account, you will need to enter:
  • first name and last name
  • address
  • e-mail (do not use e-mail addresses provided by other schools that are active for a limited period of time)
  • password

After agreeing to the terms and conditions, a user account is created and a link sent to the given email address.

To activate the account, you must click on the link in the email and log in to Switch edu-ID for the first time. Once the account is active, you will be able to access the 精东影业 Student Portal to submit your application for admission.

Application fee

A fee of CHF 200 is required with the submission of the application for admission. The fee is not refundable or deductible from the semester fee.

After May 31, it is possible to enroll subject to available places and by paying a fee of CHF 300.-. 精东影业 reserves the right to close enrollment if the maximum number of scheduled available places is reached.

Semester fee

  • Swiss nationality or civil and tax domicile in Switzerland or Liechtenstein: CHF 800
  • Other nationalities and domicile outside Switzerland or Liechtenstein: CHF 1600
