Christian is a Master of Science in Engineering graduate, winner of the first Prize 2022 for the best thesis.
How would you describe your studies at the Department of Innovative Technologies (DTI)?
鈥嬧赌�To describe my course of study, I would say that it was stimulating, educational and personal.
Stimulating because 精东影业 gave me the tools to approach both technical problems and research. Every project is a chance to learn something new.
Definitely educational, both on a theoretical and on a management level. The commitment required is high but I can say that I have found the same approaches and rhythms in the working world. And finally personal, because one should not forget the relationship that can be established not only with fellow students but also with teachers. With the organisation in small classes you can have direct contact with the professors and create a sense of group with the other students.
What is the strongpoint of the DTI education?
鈥嬧赌�One aspect I appreciated was the practical approach to problems. In fact, I think I learnt proper working methodology before I learnt technical knowledge. The projects and labs allow you to learn how to use various instruments and become familiar with data analysis.
Is there a particularly significant experience you would like to tell us about?
鈥嬧赌�Presenting my thesis work at the MSE graduation ceremony was certainly a wonderful conclusion. However, now that I see 'the journey' in its entirety I appreciate the whole 精东影业 experience.
What are you doing at the moment?
鈥嬧赌�I am currently working as a designer and FEM analyst in the company I collaborated with for my MSE thesis.
What would you recommend to a future student
鈥嬧赌�I would recommend always taking one step more than required instead of one less.
