In this module students will acquire the ability to understand the most common issues related to environmentally exposed stone conservation and restoration sites.
By the end of the module, students will be able to: - address the different types of direct interventions from a methodological, scientific and practical point of view; - organise and manage the aspects of a project in terms of relevant laws, costs, and health & safety regulations; - manage client relationships and collaborate with various professionals involved in the management and conservation of cultural heritage; - evaluate the results obtained at the end of interventions and finalise monitoring and future maintenance plans; - document, communicate and organise technical and scientific results of preliminary studies, the operations performed, and the necessary measures required for long term site conservation.
