AutoMat - ISTePS
The AutoMatproject aims to develop a circular economy process for the European battery value chain, focusing on smart automated solutions for safe disassembly and sorting of battery components, doubling current processing rates.
It includes creating an integrated battery discharge, energy recovery, and testing station for safe degradation analysis and predicting residual useful life for second-life applications.
AutoMat will also introduce an open digital platform for battery traceability, enhanced with data-driven services for decision-making and process control. These innovations will be validated through three industrial pilots to assess their impact on second-life and recycling performance.
